Winter Boots: Claire and Haley

Posted by: GeorgeGSmithjr on: October 28, 2009

Well, Colorado is being hit with the first big winter storm of the season – which means that most of us in the Crocs offices are trying to stay warm and stay off the roads.

In the spirit of Winter arriving on our doorsteps, we thought we would share two of our new Winter boots: The Claire and the Haley. Click the thumbnails for more information on each style.

So, as we try to stay warm here in Colorado, we hope you are getting ready for winter by trying out these new boots or some of our other new winter styles.

I am drooling over the Claire! I need those boots!

Why can’t you make either of these boots in a women’s size 12? Or why not have any of the real feminine shoes with heels in a size 12? It’s so horrible seeing all these lovely Crocs and not being able to purchase any of them because your company doesn’t make them big enough. Would it be so hard to just make them one size bigger? All your other women’s size 12s are just men’s size 10s, why can’t you make the women with big feet not feel so bad (having to basically by men’s Crocs) and make your feminine looking shoes one size larger? Would it really be so difficult? Or why not, just for the black boots, like the Clair and Haley, use the other style Croc bottom like the Nadia has in the size 12? All I want is a tall black boot in a women’s 12. Maybe make the Nadia a few inches taller for the size 12 gals? It’s just sad that women with a size 12 foot have to continually be pushed into wearing a men’s shoe or boot.

I agree on the sizing, us big-footed women need feminine shoes! And, for those of us with large calves, boots with not only taller, but wider legs! I have the Georgie boots and even they are a little snug in the legs.

PS–I am in my late 50’s, live in Maine and work full time, so I need boots that fit, are comfortable, and good on slick surfaces. Not “fashion” boots! I also had plantar fasciitis which I battled for over a year (including 3 cortisone shots) until I found Crocs 2 years ago. No problems since, and I will NOT wear anything else but Crocs. I even use them for slippers.

I will pass those concerns along to our product team. We are constantly changing and updating styles, so keep checking the website for changes in styles and sizes.
