Today the Washington Post ran an article about Crocs, “Once-Trendy Crocs Could Be On Last Legs,” which some of you may have seen, as it has quickly spread around the web. Here is what Crocs President and CEO, John Duerden, has to say about the story:
In response to the Washington Post’s article about the health of Crocs, Inc., I’d like to clear up a few points. We sell comfortable, durable shoes in a wide variety of appealing styles for men, women and children, and offer great value. This is a good business to be in at a time when families are watching their budgets, and we’re confident in the future of our company.
Critics who suggest we are a one-shoe company couldn’t be more wrong. As we explained to the reporter, we currently have more than 120 styles of casual, comfortable footwear, including sandals, boots, heels, wedges, flats and functional footwear for people who work on their feet or who have foot or back problems, along with our signature clogs. Don’t take my word for it – you can see for yourself an example of the variety of styles we offer such as wedges, flats, sandals, and more.
As the article correctly points out, we face challenges resulting from rapid growth. We’ve taken action to address those challenges, including aligning our production capacity to meet demand, reducing our overhead expenses and the size of our workforce, and paying down debt.
There are more than 100 million consumers in 125 countries that love our product. The Crocs brand is only five years old, and already it’s almost as well-known as Nike and Adidas. It’s an icon and whether people love it or hate it, they talk about it – as the article and the online response to it demonstrate.
Crocs shoes are perhaps the perfect product for a world in which value and simplicity are replacing avarice and over-consumption. We appreciate the support of our many loyal customers, retailers, investors and employees around the world.

John Duerden
President and CEO
Crocs, Inc.
Editor’s Note: John Duerden thanks the fans on a follow up blog post – link
I have been blown away by the variety of shoes Crocs offers. I’m not one for the traditional Crocs but love my pair of Cabanas from Crocs. I love my shoes, and I think Crocs has something for everybody. There is something to be said for a product that lasts and isn’t thrown away like so many of my clothing pieces.
I have been wearing Crocs since the beginning, and I have been extremely pleased with the new styles they continue to put out on the market. I have no doubt the Crocs will be around for many years to come and I will continue to purchase them for my family as we love the comfort, durability (I still have my first pair!) and affordability of them.
Here here!!! I am definitely a crocs fan. I love the shoes, and they are definitely not just one style! I have fallen in love with the shoes.. and as a woman who love to wear heels, but hates the pain from doing so… I love the crocs wedges… I never thought heels could be comfortable, and they are!
I’m one of the 100 Million customers that LOVE crocs… my girls and my hubby are 3 more… and we love our Crocs outlet store too!!!
Great letter John!!! We’ll show them that Crocs is here to thrive!
Crocs is more than clogs. They’ve got some truly sweet shoes, and I hope they continue to rock the Casbah.
I’m generally fearful of commitment, but I’m not afraid to tell the world that I love Crocs.
Let’s get married immediately.
We’d the shareholders would apprecaite a little more concrete information.
It’s funny because I’ve never owned any of the “typical” Crocs. Being very flat footed, sandals are not always my friend, but I purchased a pair of Crocs because they were super comfortable and provide great support. I think Crocs offers a great variety in shoes, as John pointed out. I anticipate you guys will be around for years to come and will be able to prove this reporter wrong!
I love my 3 pair of crocs that don’t look like the traditional ones. Truth is I wish I had more because when i don’t have them on my feet are not as happy. Love the ones that look like just cute shoes. My kids wear the traditional all of the time. Thanks for a great product.
I love Crocs, I wear only them for dress or in the barn. I hope with this economy Crocs can stay on top. The real Croc fans cannot imagine wearing any other shoe!
In a way, I think part of the concern re: Crocs current state stems from the fact that the company may have been TOO good at branding in the beginning. All anyone continues to see are the “ugly, plastic shoes”, and this WashPost article is evidence of that. The article’s main line of criticism is based on the assumption of a singular product line (ie. – why replace an indestructible product, Crocs vs. flip flops, etc.). Unfortunately for Crocs it’s a false assumption. I love my Crocs flip flops, and they’re not “plasticky” (sic) nor are they ugly. Sure, overexpansion immediately preceding a recession is a bitter pill. But after their restructuring I think there is still plenty of growth potential for Crocs, however it will require more aggressively marketing products like the flip flops I own. “Croc on,” Crocs.
I love my Medina crocs
I have about 14 different pairs of Crocs including Crocs to golf in, Crocs sandals to go to the beach in, Croc Mammoths to wear in the winter time and to go on a hike. Love them! I seldom wear any other kind of shoe anymore. You cannot beat the comfort and wearability of Crocs. Fading away? I think not. Crocs is chomping the competition here in sunny Florida. Keep it up!
I truly love my Crocs. I also think that we do get stuck in fads, which in turn precipitate unrealistic growth. Crocs came on the scene in a huge way, and for good reason. They are a wonderfully comfortable, durable shoe.
Now, it seems that many people have not noticed that Crocs truly has rolled with it’s growth and the demand for more options. In the WaPo article today, they spoke about a woman whose daughters forgot Crocs for flip-flops. They didn’t even think to look to Crocs for their flip-flops! On their site, Crocs has 3 different styles of flip-flops for girls in several different colors. You only need look.
Apart from that, Crocs has styles that many don’t even know about, because they look just like “normal” shoes!! Only with the Crocs, they are so much more lightweight, versatile and affordable! Crocs are no longer “oh, Crocs”, they are a huge line of footwear that is as versatile as it is fashionable.
I don’t work for Crocs, but I do support them. They are a company that is responsible and sustainable and worth getting behind. The next time you need some winter boots or some high heels, think about Crocs, and let others know that you did!
I fought the urge to jump on the Crocs bandwagon for a long time, and then I fell in love with these…
Now I have a bit of a Crocs addiction and have bought 8 new pairs this summer.
Crocs are the ONLY shoes I have been or will wear. Crocs saved me from a life with painful feet (plantar fasciitis). My feet have never felt better. I have shown my love by converting friends and relatives into Crocs-lovers across this country and several others.
I would have worn the Crocs clogs happily for the rest of my days but the ever expanding line of styles has turned comfort into fashion as well.
Crocs Rock! This is a great letter, John. Someone at the Washington Post must not have happy feet! We’ll show them.
JD-
Hi John, hope you’re well; you’re the right person to lead this company. Many of the old crew wish you well.
You may recall what I do during my summers – I lifeguard at Jones Beach (www.jblifeguard.org – look who’s launching the boat). Here’s a newsflash to the analysts – I see Crocs everywhere at the beach.
There’s a brand and then there’s a brand whose word alone connotes something special. Crocs is the word.
Call when you have a chance.
Steve
I have to say that we are a Crocs loving family. They are the perfect shoe for kids and especially for school where my kids are required to wear closed toe shoes year round. Love the different styles for little girls that can even be worn with dresses. My daughter won’t even wear any other kind of shoes now. Thanks Crocs for making a fantastic shoe that is durable, cute, washable and great for my kids’ feet.
I think a lot of people associate your typical Crocs with being “hospital” shoes, because I’ve spent a LOT of time in the hospital over the last year and most of my nurses and doctors wore these. They are the go-to shoe for anyone who needs comfort at a reasonable price. However, there are so many more styles to choose from. I think Crocs needs to focus on marketing the other styles that perhaps others aren’t familiar with, and by no means is Crocs on their way out. Especially not if any of us bloggers have any say so!
i have to say thanks to your responds,i knew that the reporter wanted to post and to shock people but it was news on no new news.
thanks to you, more infornation will be better for us.
you are much better then the old CEO.
you the man!
Crocs have grown so much over the last few years. People are amazed when I tell them about the selection that is available now. I am eagerly waiting to test out the pair of wedges that were ordered. We are a multi-generational Crocs family that can not wait to add more to our home. Thank you for all of the great new styles to pick from.
I wasn’t particularly impressed with the Post article, namely because there didn’t seem to be a ton of actual business analysis in it. No earnings reports or industry specific stats, etc. Quoting random analysts who give observations about fashion trends is awfully light research for an inflammatory headline like that. Personally, I suspect there is a large audience dedicated to the product more for function than fashion whims (which seems counter to the central thesis of reporter, although she failed so present an expert to support her point of view either). Crocs has shown they can translate internationally with the right business model – where there is huge demand for lightweight, durable, affordable footwear in developing nations – so the premise that there is no demand because a couple of suburban pre-teens have changed their footwear preferences struck me as shallow. I’d think the issue of competition from cut-rate knock-offs would have been more relevant than most of what the reporter focused on. I hope they’re able to adjust to market conditions…and I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt until there is a real reason not to. Other than those all-knowing Seattle eight-year olds, of course.

Crocs are so comfortable, they are the only shoe I wear.
I am on my feet all day, and my collegues who wear runners suffer from
sore feet, but not me.
I love all the different styles. Now my grandchildren are asking for them.
Well since grammar is something DenverPRBlog pointed out on a poster, how about expect it from this company’s CEO and his, presumably, well-educated team of handlers?
In the post, the sentence “There are more than 100 million consumers in 125 countries that love our product.” Said sentence should use the word ‘who’ vs. ‘that.’ The sentence speaks of animate, alive, money-spending consumers, not inanimate countries. So the reference is back to a ‘who’ vs. a ‘that.’
And yes, don’t post unless you’ve checked your own stuff, too.
That is all.
The recent appointment of John Duerden as CEO certainly positions Crocs for success down the road. His experience within the footwear industry & track record of growing companies and developing brands makes me confident that Crocs will not only be around for a long time, but will continue to expand & grow for years to come.
I love crocs … they are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. I’ve got 5 or 6 pairs of crocs in many colors and sizes. There are many different styles and choices of crocs and there are still MANY other mock-offs showing up – by the way those are not anywhere near as comfortable as the true crocs are!
Very simple…According to Lehman…Amazon.com was suppose to go bankrupt in 2002. Crox is turning around big time. The Prepair collection rocks! The Mesa rocks! and the Croc’s naysayers are 2 year behind the eight ball.
Proud investor in Crox and wearing my Prepair Flip Flops all the time.
One more thing….Crox is still the best selling shoes on Amazon.com. That is a fact and Crox sells a lot of shoes that you like Crox or not.
My family LOVES our Crocs!! We all have at least 2 pairs each (Mom, Dad & 6 kids) and they are the first brand I look at when purchasing new shoes for my family. My husband sees a pediatrist who recommends Crocs for all his patients.
I can’t believe Crocs have ONLY been around for 5 years! They are the most comfortable shoe ever, and I love the wide variety of styles and colors. I have a huge collection that continues to grow. I really became a believer after walking 60 miles in the Breast Cancer 3-Day. My feet were so sore, bruised and blistered. Crocs were the only shoes (flip flops) that soothed and allowed me to comfortably walk.
Why isnt Sports Authority going to be selling Crocs anymore?? They use to have an entire section of different styles and sizes, but now there are just the leftovers hanging on an endcap and some in a clearance bin at the one I go to.
I was at a point I could barely walk…..I was thinking I need a cane…I started wearng the crocs and can work in my yard…go shopping…live life….thank you so much for this shoe, I have a life…….I have 3 pair now and looking for more colors….I tried several name brand tennis shoes but ended up always limping and in so much pain, it happened suddenly, now I am just fine because I wear the crocs…it is my all events shoe….I can’t wear anything else…so please do not stop making them!!!
they’re the only shoes my 3 year old will wear (with a smile i might add). enough said.
Thanks for taking time to clear the air. I love my Crocs and would recommend them to anyone!
While Oakley runs through my bloodstream, I find it difficult to ignore Crocs … they’re EVERYWHERE. Our kids love them and my wife and I wear them as well. They’re affordable, stylish, and quite popular … a combination of traits that will last an upturn or downturn.
You’ll notice that I, and many other consumers, just refer to “Crocs.” There are numerous styles of Crocs, and not just the one that set a trend all others followed. Our Crocs at home are varied in style and that’s what will help them reach a wide selection of people.
I disagree that Crocs is a one-hit wonder and will fickle.
I’m plastered with Oakley from head-to-toe, but nothing like some comfortable Crocs to pop on … and be one of the “cool dads” here in The OC!
I can’t tell you how many Crocs I own. They’re all I wear. It’s an addiction…
I was a Crocs scoffer before attending Blissdom 09, of which Crocs was a sponsor. After ordering a pair of super-cute and COMFY high-heeled shoes (which people cannot believe are Crocs!), I am a totally believer. I am now drooling over all of the new trendy styles and planning my next purchase!
Thanks for clarifying the situation. I was getting a bit worried. The original clogs may have resulted in polarized opinions concerning the unique look they sport, but I’ve yet to meet a single person who has continued to care how Crocs clogs look once they’ve experienced how great the shoes _feel_.
Add durability to the comfort factor, and then expand that formula so that it includes lots of styles to accommodate diverse tastes and needs, and it sure sounds like a formula for success to me.
I LOVE my Crocs—I have 6 pair and plan to get more!!! Rock on Crocs!!!
The product is more than great!!. The value of a pair of CROCS is better than Nike or Adidas or even Timberland……….excellent durability. The feel of rest of your feet when you try on your crocs is amazing!.
For the company, because i know some fellows that works in it, they are great people!!.
So in love with my Malindis that I wear them 90% of the time now.
The Post story strikes me of an example of MSM turning to “if it bleeds it leads” mindset – the idea that a company might be ‘on it’s last legs’ is much more interesting than ‘is healthy, has diversified, and has loyal customers’ if you’re trying to sell using scare tactics.
Great response Mr. Duerden.
Our family loves wearing Crocs!!! My 4 year old son will not wear anything else! Be encouraged that a lot of people love and support your company!!!
To 44
that was a nice answer, love it
The negative story has spread like wildfire through the media. I have never seen anything like this. The media has been cleverly manipulated by a short seller who will most likely be covering his position soon.
The same story could have been written about thousands of companies who are in the process of a turnaround. I am shocked about the naivite of the news media
I am an investor who has actually made a profit on Crocs stock. Tomorrow may be the buying opportunity of lifetime. Thank you Katie Couric.
I love Crocs. I have numerous pairs in various styles. The US Crocs are just too expensive. I can get the same shoes from other countries online that are cheaper including shipping (usually 33% less) with more colors, patterns, and styles…and not seconds. Bring the price in line with the economy and it’s all good.
LOVE my Crocs. I have some flip-flops that are THE most comfortable and cute pair evah. They’ve been outstanding in all aspects.
Old (Plastic) Crocs will be in landfills for the next 500yrs. And are they BPA free if not all those chemicals are being absorbed into your body through your feet.
I’m not sure why – but it’s as if the people who write these articles, don’t want the Crocs Company to thrive or even survive. Maybe if they were to actually wear a pair of Crocs, they would find out like the rest of us – that Crocs are comfortable and affordable footwear.
My only complaint about the company is that they need better marketing. People won’t buy them, if they don’t know about the many styles that are available.
I enjoy wearing my Beach clogs, my Adara sandals, my You by Crocs Nightcaps shoes & my Shaken Not Stirred boots and also my Mammoth clogs. I can’t remember the last time I wore footwear that wasn’t a Crocs product. I hope and pray that the company thrives and flourishes, not only for myself but for many others as well!!!
I used to think crocs were only thoes clog things i saw everyone wearing. I thought they were ugly and vowed never to wear crocs. One day everyone was talking about their crocs on twitter and about different styles so i checked out the site and was amazed at how they had lots of styles that looked nothing like thoes icky clogs i saw people wearing. Eventually i ended up winning a twitter giveaway and am happy to say my flip flops arrived today and are SUPER COMFORTABLE! My boyfriend who was convinced crocs could only be hideous looking saw them today and was like thoese are the crocs? they look… cool!
I have been wearing Crocs since the beginning and now wear nothing else. Who cares what my daughter-in-law thinks. I buy them for my grandchildren, too! I own about twenty pair including my rain boots, what I call my winter boots and a number of other styles. I got tired of trying to find local stores with an inventory to satisfy my hunger for Crocs so now I shop online. Thank you for Crocs.
WOW this article is very upsetting to me on so many levels. I would like to say that Crocs are the World’s Most Comfortable Shoes!!! As I have blogged about on Twitter on a daily basis Crocs have changed my life. And cause of my story I am having many others who work with me and everyone who I come in contact with changing their shoes to Crocs. I had over $1000 in medical bills for a sprained foot which was the final straw of wearing other brands of shoes. Shoes that were almost $200 a pair suppose to be the best and made in the USA in California wont say the name but they were uncomfortable and damaging to my feet. Not only did I have foot problems and have a brace for my foot and have to go to an orthopedic surgeon I had constant back pain. I am a big guy over 300#’s and on my feet for over 10 hours a day in the restaurant industry. After trying a pair of crocs I bought a second pair called Velocity which are for the hopitality restaurant industry. I no longer have back pain, leg pain, or ankle pain. I no longer have to take a daily 800mg ibuprohene for the pain in my back which I have taken for the past three years. Crocs has also expanded for the Diabetic which are called the Silver Clouds these are shoes that are expecially for Diabetics. Please to all out there reading this blog support Crocs and all of its employees and listen when John says that they are a strong company they have changed my life forever. I believe in them this much as I am now walking to get healthy and walk over 5 miles a day and have a weight loss goal of 100#’s their employees are supportive in my goal. Crocs your great and will continue to suggest and talk about you everywhere I go!!! Thanks
Joe
I wear more styles if they actually came in my size. :-(
Can I be a fan of Crocs and the Post? As to comments suggesting that there is some WP editor who wants to see Crocs dead or that the reporter has a vendetta? What? Seriously? I’m a fan of the shoes, and have my originals now serving as great painting shoes. Also, wearin’ another pair as I write this. I’m a fan of companies that stand up for themselves. Clearly, Crocs created a fad – the hardest marketing success to survive…The history of business is littered with the bodies of such companies. That makes the Post story not so far fetched, perhaps, particularly in a media world where the substitute for journalism is balance (yes, the Post ran an utterly fawning story in 2006). Also, the mass media these days convey many recession stories each minute of the day, so I make it my plan not to read a major paper and listen to talk radio in the same day – double dose of disaster. Must keep up my optimism to stay in the public relations business. Thanks to Mr. Duerden for a classy response. Now, Crocs, keep innovating and let folks know about it (even that shareholder above who wonders what you’re up to). Oh, and Go Capitalism! Your fan, Michael
Here here! I am a Crocs Fan for life! Where else can you get comfortable yet stylish shoes? There new shoes are awesome and their customer service is outstanding! Looks like that reporter didn’t do his homework! My husband has medical issues and he finally has a shoe that he is proud to wear! GO CROCS!
Adding my voice to my fellow Croc lovers–mary jane style for me! They are comfortable, practical, and now that they come in so many styles, the “Flintstones” comment from the article definitely doesn’t hold up.
I love my Crocs! My husband used to say they made my feet look like jelly beans. Then, he tried some on. Now, he has a dark blue pair with USC Trojan jibbitzes in them. He’s a happy man. Crocs are aesthetically challenged, but nothing beats them for comfort and durability. My kids may not be able to find their patent leather shoes, but if I say, “Go get your Crocs,” they know exactly where they are. Thanks and I wish you the best at overcoming a challenging financial situation. You can do it!
I am a convert. I never liked the original funny looking shoes. But have folks been looking at what Crocs offers besides those? I love my Santa Cruz shoes! Now if I can just get a pair of the corduroy orange ones…
Go Crocs!
Z
I was a bit resistant to Crocs in the beginning, until my daughter (now 4) begged for a pair. I figured as long as she wore them I’d be happy. She is still wearing the same pair a year later. For a girl that can destroy a pair of shoes in hours, Crocs are a money saver! I also had to buy my son (19m) his own pair: he figured out how to put his sister’s on and wouldn’t take them off. He loves his Crocs (both pairs), he even bathes and sleeps in them. I won’t even try to put anything else on my kids’ feet. We are and will be loyal customers.
I used to find it amusing that people who have most likely never tried on a pair of crocs, walked into a crocs retail store or visited the crocs website insist on calling crocs a one-trick pony, rubber shoes, plastic shoes, foam shoes whatever.. But the frequency with which this misinformation pops up is getting quite irritating. Instead of plagiarising from one another, these “journalists” would have done themselves and everyone else a service if only they had bothered to do even just a cursory check on the internet. Or perhaps they couldn’t afford to spend more than 10 minutes on the article…
I live in Asia, and ever since I discovered crocs shoes, I have bought over 30 pairs in the last few years and can’t bear to wear anything else. Knockoffs are a problem here, but if crocs are a fad then there wouldn’t still be so many imitations right? lol! These imitators have even come up with their own designs, some of which are true abominations, and stamped them with “crocs” anyway. But the true crocs lovers will always know the difference!
I have to be honest and say that until today I really had no idea that there was any other type of croc than the ‘original’. I unfortunately never really took a liking to the original croc either. If it was not for stumbling across the Washington Posts article, then searching out the official website for the Company I still would have no idea just how many styles Crocs really does offer. I think it’s a shame that in the retail stores that I have seen them being sold in, are only showing the ‘original’ style. I will definately consider purchasing a pair of Crocs now that I have discovered the many other styles that are available. CROCS you really need to get your different styles out there for people to see!!! I think you should consider doing commercials. Oh, by the way I am Canadian and live in the Toronto area… this is where I have not seen any other styles than the ‘original’.
If anything, this article generates a lot of publicity. Makes people go and check the website to see what’s really going on, and what kind of shoes are these crocs, anyway? Worked for me. There are a lot of nice styles I noticed. I’ve seen people war them and they look very comfortable.
May have to get some myself!
I love my crocs – they’re easy on my feet. I also liked the idea of ordering directly from the crocs website, where I could see the entire product linte. However, your customer service is very poor!. The problems: can’t get a real person on the customer service line. Can’t get a real response from any e-mail sent to customer serivce. Your web site has more than just a few flukes. I had ordered 2 pair 2 weeks ago, only 1 pair shipped. The order is now non-existent on the sytem. I’d like a refund, or my shoes. I had had poor service before, when I ordered 4 pairs as gifts at Chirstmas (2007). They came late, all jumbled in a broken down box. I thought that was a Christmas fluke, but maybe not.
Customers, and customer inquiries, should be treated more seriously. Stuff happens, but when you’re rude or ignore a customer, your business is in trouble.
When I first saw Crocs I thought how could these very light shoes be good for feet or even feel comfortable. I regret to say I was one of those non-believers. Then I spend 8 months in a cast, had ankle surgery just to end up with planters fasciitis. This is an EXTREMELY painful foot pain. The bottoms of your feet hurt to walk on. I was back to my surgeon and was going to have to start physical therapy again. It was during this time that my little toe was broken and wearing any shoe was painful. A co-worker suggested Crocs to me because they were wider. I went out that night and I bought a pair. It was helpful with the broken toe but even better than that, I realized several days later that the bottoms of my feet were not hurting as much. I started paying even closer attention and within 2 weeks the bottom of my feet stopped hurting completely. This is without ever starting physical therapy again. My surgeon gave me a clean bill of health. I am now a true believer. These shoe are cute, comfortable and can be medically beneficial. I have been planters fasciitis free now for a year. I still wear my Crocs when I can but they have given me the freedom to wear any shoe without pain.
Also, if my feet are tired after a long day, putting on my Crocs are relaxing. I wear them to do stuff around the house, to run errands, and just about anytime I dont have to wear work appropriate shoes.
I strongly believed that the company can really come out its debts at any point in time. I read the article in The Washington Post. Though, the economic recession really affected many companies, and Crocs,Inc. is not an exception. I know, that this company can perform more better in terms of profitability, globalization, and new techniques that l will really suggest to the Company’s management in terms of marketing and advertising. You can do better than this and l trust you guys.
I bought a pair of Crocs Silver Cloud’s for my uncle who has severe diabetic foot problems. Unfortunately, the bandages on his feet prevented him from being able to wear them, so I kept them. I LOVE them. We ordered Custom Crocs for my uncle and he loves them too.
As for business, I was going to submit the idea that they branch out. Evidently the have already thought of that. The Tideline, Velocity, Venture, All Terrain are coming soon to a closet near me!!!
So, my second idea to boost profits is a Re-Croc campaign where people send in their old Croc’s to be recycled and then can get $$$ (10-20) off a new pair of whatever style they want. Not a bad idea, eh?
I was DEV-A-STATED
(TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY RESOLVED)
I was devastated to read that article! I am so relieved and confident in the future of the company after reading the official response. Nurses, various retail workers, postal employees, etc., and TEACHERS LIKE ME WHO ARE ON THEIR FEET ALL DAY can’t imagine life without them. I’m honestly a little nonplussed that Madison Avenue “opinionados” would think the professional market (at the very LEAST) for this footwear would not be able to sustain this business. Yes, little girls might move on, but we professionals cannot!
I have to admit, I hate the original Crocs. And I mean HATE. They are the ugliest shoes I have encountered since Jellies.
HOWEVER, the newer models are FANTASTIC! I love the Hanalei, and I have a pair of slip-on sandals that are near perfect for everything — I have even worn them with dresses. Crocs remind me of Aerosoles, which also started with ugly-but-comfortable models.
I hope to heck this company stays in business. I want to see them develop running shoes.
Just bought a couple more pairs- that makes about 7. Blue Beaches are my favorite, but the shoe-like versions will enable me to wear them to the office. As a fat footed 60-year old boy, having a wide version in a few models would be nice. Crocs are nice and wide anyway, but New Balance has cornered the market on extra wide shoes. Extra wide Crocs would be even better.
I have only worn Crocs for 3 years now. I almost had to quit my job as a nurse because my feet hurt so much. I tried $120 nursing shoes and couldn’t wear them. Then I tried Crocs and the rest is history. I have got my sisters hooked and buy them for my grandkids. I wouldn’t be able to work without them. Thanks.
Gary Cousino crocs just slaughtered you on cbs at2:45 am 071709 check it out.
Katie Couric was the reporter on cbs.
i never saw here so many replies.
this is good!
I work for Crocs Philippines. And Crocs are doing well locally! Filipinos love our shoes!
More power to Crocs!
A friend mentioned in passing that Crocs was going out of business, and I had to get online to make sure this wasn’t the case!! I couldn’t imagine my world without Crocs! I LOVE these shoes. I have been wearing one style or other for the past three years. I (as many others have also mentioned) was a convert. I thought they were ugly but when my husbands sister was visiting I asked her to let me look at one, and my first thought was OH they are so light, I bet they feel really good.
So I bought a pair eventually but didn’t wear then because it was winter. I had been wearing another brand of expensive clogs other people liked and ended up really really hurting my ankle as I fell off the side of them when they caught in the crack of a walkway.
As a result I had to wear my beach crocs because that is all that would work on my foot with the ace bandage on it. After I could wear other shoes, I just didn’t want to. I was living in Seattle then and I wore the mammoths in the winter and the “ugly” beach style in the summer. I have to laugh at myself because now those beach shoes are my favorite shoe in the world. I have other styles but I always come back to the original.
I have some tennis shoes and they are good for some things but I have 15+ pairs of crocs. I live in Hawaii now, and really couldn’t imagine life without them.
Please please please keep making them, I love all the news styles but I still love me my “ugly” beach shoes. They make my feet soooooooooooo happy.

I and my huband have recently become Crocs fans. I took 2 pairs of Crocs with me to Europe and they were the BEST shoes to travel with. I walked everyday in comfort and it made the trip so much more enjoyable to not have tired feet at the end of the day!
I buy my 3 pairs of crocs EVERY YEAR for my kids-it’s a MUST for growing feet! It’s how we officially “kick off” summer!!! (and of coarse they are still wearing them with socks come fall)
Ann
Croc Family ;)
I have three pairs of crocs. I started with the beach, then a pair of mammoths, then the silver cloud. The silver cloud is amazingly comfortable, and for someone with flat feet, it’s a godsend.
I’m upgrading to the PREPAIR, it’s supposed to be the ultimate!
Please crocs, don’t go away, my feet need you.

I have been reading a lot of those news stories – they seem to regurgitate what the Post wrote (and did I write a scathing letter to that reporter! I understand that the economy has hit EVERYONE, and they act like crocs was singled out. That wasn’t news, it was inflated gossip.) They inflame the public to react, and I did.
I have ordered 4 new pairs of crocs and plan to continue to do more orders in the future. You have a market – and a good one – of folks with back and foot problems, medical and restaurant fields and those who boat or garden. Then there are those who stand on their feet all day long – like folks in retail. Even if they are indestructible, one needs more than one style.
I just get bent and today’s inflammatory gossip they call news. It is not objective nor does it cover two sides of a story. It is meant to sell advertising, and it does so at the cost of credibility.
I purchased my first pair of Crocs after reading the Washington Post story. I had always wanted to try them and thought I’d better get some now or they will be gone. After wearing my new green Crocs just one night, I am not on your website looking for more. My knees feel so much better after wearing the crocs around the house last night rather than going barefoot as I usually do. I hope that your company succeeds because I really love these shoes and want you to be around for a long time.
I’m buying a couple pairs right now. Say whatever you want – for the first time in years, my feet don’t hurt every day. I LOVE Crocs.
Love Crocs! HATE the company! You’ll lose fans really quick if you keep canceling orders and never notifying the customer. You’ll lose fans when 15 to 20 emails to customer service go unanswered. You’ll lose fans when your website can’t keep the proper inventory. You’ll lose fans when you redesign the website and have customer service forms that delete your comments and tell you to try again.
Great shoes alone will not keep a company in business. My 6 yrd old son, who has been waiting for his summer Crocs for 2 months, goes back to school in 2 weeks. So much for a fun summer in his new shoes. We’ve given up on Twitter, your blog, your email and any other means to get help from the company. It’s a real shame because the product is great.
Just watched story on TODAY SHOW,ok so some people don’t like them. We do! Our family has several pairs and going for more…. keep up the good work the Western Slope loves CROCS. Keep them coming !!!!!!! PS: If doctors & nurses ware they have to be good
I may have to amend my comment – as much as I love crocs – I find that when I do want to order more, my size is conspicuously absent like they are selling off old inventory. I understand there is a restructure, but that does alarm me somewhat. It seems that there aren’t new ones being made, which is interesting, but now I am wondering if I want to order crocs, will they even have any that fit?
Our family LOVES Crocs — I started wearing them during pregnancy, and have been a loyal fan ever since, wearing a pair almost every single day and collecting myself about 20 pair so far including wedge heels, boots, clogs, sandals and mary janes. We shop online and at a local Outlet store. The kids outgrow theirs so quickly, but Crocs are durable and easy to pass down as they grow. My 3yr old is inseparable from her Tinkerbell-green clogs and even my 1yr old knows his favorite shoes!! BRAVO to Crocs for taking advantage of this publicity to offer 15% off and free shipping on all online orders, and I hope that their July sales break all company records in their history. I’ll be placing an order today, but just wish that the inventory would have been available this Summer in popular sizes such as W6 (they’ve been impossible to get and the pairs of wedge heels that I purchased last year are well-worn). Crocs are THE BEST shoes, EVER, at EVERY age!!
I wear only crocs even in NYC winters. Good to see they handled the issue of Sizing on the revamped website…need more marketing even if its low key or more sponsorships. Needs better merchandising centers in retail stores. ALSO! Answer emails i routinely have emails ignored if I have a question. Hard to keep your love for a shoe if the company ignores you. I have seen brands falter in my experience with merchandising/marketing and retail sales because of the things mentioned. Crocs
has a great line, bring the prices down a little so more people will come on board.
Still I love the shoes, get the word out, ignore analysts, bring prices down and keep
on inovating ( perhaps expand the clothing line with a lower price point)
I thank you and my flat feet and bunions thank you.
Any info on why the Disney crocs are being discontinued? My traditional red Mickeys are worn from the time I’ve spent in them. I missed out on getting the mary janes (really wanted the pink & chocolate) and the athens!
Please consider bringing them back — there’s a lot of Disney croc fans out there.
Thanks and good luck!
Those who think Crocs is on their last legs forget that Crocs is an International Company and will not live or die by the “fashionistas in the USA.” Crocs will not die because they are comfortable and innexpensive. I wear my Alice Crocs (without the straps) every day as a black flat. I can walk everywhere and no sore feet. Crocs is as much with us as blue jeans.
I never cared for the original crocs, but I like the newer styles and intend to keep buying them as needed for as long as they are available for myself and my family.
Crocs may need to scale back operations and other key areas they invested in for growth – but the brand is strong on a global basis. I don’t see Crocs going anywhere.
Crocs do wear out. I know I have worn out 2 pairs and have replaced them with another pair of Crocs. Love the new styles but will miss the scutes, they were my favorite. Wish you guys would keep making them. I buy Crocs for all my family, and will continue to do so, there just so comfortable! Love you guys!
You can really tell that article is definitely one sided. This is what irritates me about the media.. they pick a line in the news and make it much bigger than it really is. Look how many people LOVE crocs. My girls and I are big croc fans and it just thrills me at all the new designs that crocs has came out with!
It seems the article is only targeting one side… Get real media! Crocs are definitely here to stay.
I love crocs (athens, flip-flop) they are the most comfortable shoe ever. But I cannot find it in my size anywhere including the website. I guess size 8 womens is very popular or not being made. Perhaps the lack of sizes is to blame for the slow down in sales. I have been looking all summer to buy two pair and cannot find them. I have not given up yet.
I love my Crocs! All of them. My daughter, 9, wears one of her pairs to school almost everyday day. Either her pink or green Disney ones. My favorite are the Cleos-most comfortable sandals I have ever worn.
I just heard a news report about the “Death of Crocs” on a local news radio show. I was very surprised as the people I know who wear Crocs are still wearing, and buying them. I will cointinue to buy them as long as they make styles I like.
One thing you could improve on is the varience in sizing depending on where they are manufactured. A pair of Cleos from China and another pair from Vietnam (or Boulder) should all be the same if the are the same size. This hasn’t been the case. We have had to return some that were sized wrong. If all your factories use the same molds, shouldn’t the same size be the same size?
Also, want to note that Crocs is probably the #1 choice for children by their mothers and by the children themselves. Kids keep growing and buying another pair! This company is helping with the economic problem of “too expensive tennis shoes”….Crocs are afordable…no ties….rinse them off when they get dirty….no smell with Croxlite…light and not heavy….AND comfortable. If you have never worn Crocs, DON’T KNOCK THEM!!!!!
WE LOVE YOU CROCS! We are pulling for your turn-around and thank you John Duerdan…you have a wonderful opportunity to turn this company around into the biggest success of your career lifetime!
[...] case you missed it, Crocs CEO John Duerden also responded on the Crocs Blog… I think his letter was very well written, and very reassuring that Crocs will endure the [...]
First of all the article is VERY wrong, you can NOT compare the $5 knock off crocs to the high quality of the Crocs brand. We tried the $5 pair from a large retail chain and they gave my at the time 2 year old daughter HUGE sores on her ankles from just wearing them for an hour! So no way will I ever buy knock offs again! Her princess CROCS have never done that to her! Kids love them because they are easy to put on and off.
I love the new adult styles and wear them all the time. Many people don’t even know Crocs offers these stylish designs and I get compliments on my Olivia or Malindi everytime I wear them and people are always SHOCKED that they are Crocs brand. It isn’t widely known in all circles that you are offering more styles than the garden type crocs! :)
The problem is that many of the stores that used to carry Crocs don’t carry them anymore. They either can’t get the RIGHT inventory or you guys don’t ship them product you say you will at all. And some of the classic styles aren’t available. Where is the Women’s Nile or the Men’s Scute?
I want you all to succeed, but you need to get back to the core all croslite products that people love and ship them on time to customers and retailers. If I see another store with only Makino or Cretes in stock, I think I will puke. Time to stock up on my Athens before I cant get them anymore.
I was turned on to Crocs by a fellow worker several years ago and my feet
have not gone into any other shoe since. I LOVE my MaryJanes. I have 5 or 6 pairs and can’t imagine wearing any other shoes. I knew I should have bought
stock in them years ago. Keep up the good work!
CROCS ROCK!!!
Ok back to blogging on here again. I never thought that my local television station would do a news story about Crocs being in bad shape. I must say that once you get one bad news paper reporter reporting trash the television stations got to do it too. In defense of Crocs how many places do you shop and they have a clearance sale and you can not find the items in a size you want?? The internet works the same way. I promise to the two people who George responded to he will as well as anyone else from Crocs who personally responds to your post they will get back to you. Crocs will come out of debt and emerge as a much stronger company. I personally have turned on average 5 people a week onto Crocs if we all do this and talk about them Crocs will do great. Keep posting the great stories everyone!!!
Here’s an idea: How ’bout not making such UGLY freakin’ shoes going forward? I don’t care how comfortable these things are supposed to be, I wouldn’t even wear them to take the garbage out in the dark when no one would see me wearing them!
And those of you that wear them. How about taking a look in the mirror before you leave the house because if you’re putting these things on your feet there’s no telling what other abominations you’re inflicting on the public.
I bet Stacey & Clinton will be thrilled to witness Crocs’ demise.
“Those who think Crocs is on their last legs forget that Crocs is an International Company and will not live or die by the “fashionistas in the USA.” Crocs will not die because they are comfortable and innexpensive. I wear my Alice Crocs (without the straps) every day as a black flat. I can walk everywhere and no sore feet. Crocs is as much with us as blue jeans.”
Umm, Sarah, there’s an international recession on. If no one has $30 for a pair of Crocs in the US what makes you think they do anywhere else in the world. And I’ve got news for you, people in Europe, care a whole lot more about what they look like when they leave the house than we do.
I LOVE my CROCS! I buy a wide variety of styles. I practically live in my CROC flip-flops (year round!) I am glad to hear that you are commited to sticking around for a long time!
I’ve worn out at least two pairs of crocs. They are my every day shoe, thanks to the ballerina styles and I’m an attorney. these are the only shoes that don’t leave me with back pain or foot pain at the end of the day. I sincerely hope the company can adjust to these difficult times and carry on!! I need you.
I love the croc flip flops – yes they do wear out. But, they are really the only shoes I wear – in fact. I just ordered two more. :)
I love crocs. They are the only shoe I have worn for the past 4 years. My daughter who is 8 loves them also. She has 4 pairs and they are all she wants to wear. I just ordered myself 3 more pairs and got 2 more up a size for her. I cannot imagine having to wear any other shoes and I refuse to wear the knock offs- they hurt!
I just want to say that when my mother sent me an email today telling me that Crocs were going out for me to order spares, I was not happy. I have been a croc wearer since the beginning. They have helped me with my feet problems for years and my mothers too. I turned her on to then when she had to have foot surgery and could not wear anything else. I wear them swimming in our gym pool, everywhere. My own husband who will not let me order him a pair but will wear mine all the time – shutes, mules, etc> he doesn’t realize I buy some big enough so that he can wear them. Ladies learn from this, secretly they want what you have, just do not want to tell you…….
My grandbaby who is now 2 1/2 is on his 5th pair of crocs and recently just got boots for the winter. I am a croc grandma -I am so glad to here they are not going out!
signed: pleased grandma
PS can you make more sandles with 2 inch heals – love the looks of the other ones but can’t wear the heels, Need more sandles like the Patricia’s

Cayman Crocs are my summertime “fun” shoes. I love the bright sherbet-y colors (yellow, orange and hot pink especially) and they are incredibly comfortable and easy to maintain. Will mine ever wear out? Probably not, since I have six different colors to rotate through! Fie on the doomsayers! We Croc-ers are fiercely loyal. To paraphrase Mark Twain, “The reports of Crocs’ death are greatly exaggerated.”
I have been a Crocs customer since the beginning! No more sore feet, corns, pinched toes etc. Around our house it’s socks ‘N Crocs!!
I have two diabetics in my family and it’s imperative for them to have comfortable and well fitting shoes with a large toe box. Some of us wear them without socks others..well, it’s like going barefoot without the pain of stepping on whatever. Your happy feet stay dry.
I gave a pair to a friend who said they were ugliest shoes he ever saw…the rest is history..he called me today to tell me of the 15% off sale. He even wore a black pair to a wedding! This is the same friend who tried to make me give up a black pair I have worn out!!!!
We always keep several pairs in the car and have they come in handy.
I have heel spurs, a bad back and knee problems and am 63 this year! I will not wear anything else. The comfort of Crocs are the selling point. Once you wear a pair you won’t want anything else on your feet. Your feet will demand them!
Thank you Crocs for making comfortable, affordable and durable wear ANYWHERE shoes!
I ordered several pair today! Can’t wait for them to arrive.
To Rocket J, Post #111,
Don’t be condescending to me, I know there is a recession on, and $30 for a pair of shoes is reasonable if you look at the price of shoes. People do have $30 for shoes in the US, sorry you seem to think they don’t. Perhaps Crocs will send you a pair.
Crocs are sold in many more countries than just Europe and there is more than one style of Crocs! What is your real beef? You obviously have a beef or you would not be blogging on the Crocs website under a letter from the CEO.
I do not work for Crocs nor have ever worked for Crocs. Can you say the same?
I doubt it. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
[...] truly appreciate loyal customers like Amy Hoag who commented on this blog about her feet not being as happy when she doesn’t wear her Crocs [...]
Crocs will soon be in trouble if they don’t improve customer service. I get lots of email about special sales – but no one bothers to answer product inquiries. I have been searching for a specific style and color but my emails remain unanswered. I love Crocs, but if I can’t get the style and color that I need I will buy other shoes. It would be nice if someone answered when a customer asks a question!
Oh Crocs .. how many ways doth I love you.
After back injury every time I put my foot down on my heel my spine freaked out… then I got my First pair of Crocs… it was completely different.
The effect on my heel is a soft cushion that does not reverberate up my leg and spine.
This has Huge benefits!!! I can stand and walk without that constant pain – much of which comes from trying to hold my muscles to lessen the impact of what is going on with my back.
Result: I am more active- and dont flinch at walking now.
Its a joy to stride through the supermarket aisle with that ease from wearing the crocs.
I have branched out to the all terrain ones and they are steady and secure on my feet.
Thanks Crocs seem a flimsy thing to say but OMG Thank You~~~
Once I discovered Crocs (through my family) I will not leave them now. I am out of control with how many shoes I have. They are incrediby comfortable, and yes, I too have back pain and am on my feet a lot, but they seem to solve the problem. I love the variety of shoes and colors. Keep ‘em comin’ Crocs and to heck with the media people whcan’t seem to stand anything positive!
I have been wearing CROCS for several years now and intend to keep doing so. I had a foot problem and when I took other shoes to my therapist for him to comment on—he rejected them.
Sitting here with my new leopard Crocs on my feet. I have never been so HAPPY! Please don’t stop selling crazy Crocs. I can’t wear anything else. Thank you for making Comfortable shoes that are so COOL!!!
I Love My Crocs. They are the best shoes for early morning walks with my dog. I have the regular, mammoth, boots and flip flops. So I am sold. I even bought stock.

Wow I was upset when I heard Crocs was going under but let me say most of the points on the yahoo article were a little shady and I also agree with the girl Amy that commented above me the imitations do not feel as good as the real stuff I think it is because they do not have the good material and bumps on the shoes when you take a step in Crocs it is like a foot massage when I used to own knock-offs I felt like “Wow these shoes are really really average then I remember thinking where are my sneakers” but with Crocs they are great. Infact I just got my new pair of Crocs today :) they are great and I will wear them every day and Crocs are also my official travel shoe because they are very comferteble and I can take them off and on in around 5 seconds but anyways that is why i love Crocs and btw I only wear the originals and they are fantastic… THX CRC!
I ADORE CROCS!! I have 20+ pairs — the original style in several colors, heels, wedges, rainboots, Malindis, Troikas, and Olivias in several colors, Scutes, etc. I hope I never have to wear any other type of shoe. They are fun to wear, so-o-o comfey, and perfect for life in the garden, on the go, and on the range. Other women frequently stop me in stores to ask about my shoes and where to get them. Glad I can now tell them about crocs.com since Zappo’s is no longer carrying Crocs :-( My diabetic husband loves the Rx Relief style. My 84-yr. old mother wears her beach Crocs constantly and the pair I ordered tonight is for my 90-yr. old dad. They love the comfort and I appreciate feeling they are less likely to slip on slick floors, wet grass, etc.
So, CROCS, rock on, live long and prosper. And if you are still listening John, George, and company — PLEASE MAKE THE LEOPARD MALINDI IN SIZE 5 AND TRAILBREAK RUST IN SIZE 5 OR JUNIORS. And make more styles in PULSE and BRONZE colors (including size 5!) You might consider a marketing push to the AARP crowd!
I LOVE all of my crocs! I must have 15+ pair, different styles and colors for different occasions. As a frequent business traveler, I love the fact that I can pack a few of pairs of Celeste style or sueded slip-on crocs and they’re dressy enough to go with business attire (and all of them put together weigh less than my travel hairdryer). The best part is they’re as comfortable at the end of the day as they are first thing in the morning. Business travelers would do well to invest in some of the dressier styles – particularly when an overweight bag can cost you $125 on some airlines!
I can’t wait to see what other styles their outstanding design group comes up with. I am a loyal customer and I hope Crocs is around for years to come. I plan to continue supporting this company!
I really wish that they would do more advertising about styles of Crocs, I wear sndles all the time and people can’t believs they are Crocs. I try to sell skutes, mammoths and mary janes to lots of people. I love my crocs in my colors.
I love crocs, too – but how come they are not available in many styles at local locations? That is a problem. Many people don’t like online shopping.
My girlfriend and I have 30 pair of Crocs between us…Beaches, Bayas, Caymans, Off-Roads, Motions…kind of speaks to how we feel about the company. Every time we see one of those knock-off wannabes, we refer to them as Frocs (Fake Crocs). Never touch THOSE, thank you…
What a lovely love-fest. Get over the Croc-love-blindness for a minute and look at the real issue. The company way over-expanded production, failing to recognize that their shoes were riding a tidal wave of being the trendy (for whatever reason) thing for a couple of years and failing to see the impending recession. On top of that, perhaps people are tired of sweaty feet, poor support, and generally unattractive footwear. Are they affordable? You bet. But, like chukka boots or Jellies when I was younger, they are a trend, and trends fade.
I do hope they find a market that will enable them to stay afloat–someone mentioned poorer countries, and that sounds like a great idea. I hate to see any company go under, and the employees who depend upon it suffer. Unless they can come out with a shoe that has style as well as value to stimulate the market again, and unless, as promised by John, they can successfully revamp their production, they are in deep, deep trouble. CEOs would not be CEOs if they didn’t talk positively about their companies.
I love my crocs- not only are they a great value but they are very comfortable, supportive, easy to clean, and look great. They have helped my arthritis- I would never have made it around Disney without them!
Long live Crocs!
I love myCrocs, I would not buy a pair said they were ugly, till my friend talked me into them. Well now thats all I wear I own 23 pair all different styles, winter summer dress and more colors then I can name. I have also got many people to try them. I even have a nickname Crazy Crocs Lady. My feet and back used to hurt when I would go shopping or walk alot . Now that I wear Crocs they do not hurt. Keep making those Crocs/
SAVE THE CROCS!!!
As someone very allergic to latex, this is one place that I can shop freely for shoes!! I love the variety of styles for me and my two young girls!! Keep em comin!
These are the only “shoes” my dogs simply refuse to destroy. I just ordered a pair of Havana’s and can’t wait to get them.
I love my Crocs! They are all I wear.
Anyone know where I may be able to get a pair of Mens Black/Black Scutes, size 11. Been looking for them everywhere and can’t seem to find a pair. (Houston, TX)
Our entire family wears your Crocs of one variety or another. I have severe arthritis in my entire body and have had knees and hips replaced already at 62 and have had several back surgeries. I must have a safe comfortable light shoe and that is why I buy and wear Crocs almost exclusively , everyday and I am always looking for more.
Thank you for a great product, stay in business forever.
I have been addicted to these shoes since I bought my first pair three years ago! I rarely wear anything else. Thank you for a wonderful product at a reasonable price. By the way, the new website is great…
My entire family wears Crocs. I have bad knees & hips and Crocs are wonderful for teaching kindergarten. If I don’t wear them during the day, I pay for it that night. I have a total of 12 pair of Crocs. My daughter has 4. My son has 6. My husband just purchased his second pair today! We have sheep and it is wonderful to wear the Crocs to the barn, hose them off, and they are as good as new. Your customer service is WONDERFUL!
Thank you for such a wonderful product! I am going to Disney World soon and my Crocs will be going along!
oh, i’m so glad to read this. my mother terrified me by telling me she read that crocs was going belly-up. i’d be utterly lost without my primas, mary janes, clogs, *and* flippy-floppies. they were the only way i survived working retail, and i never get tired of telling people who don’t believe crocs could be cute that the very shoes i’m wearing are none other than crocs. their shocked expressions are a laugh every time. love the new styles and colors, and that my feet don’t destroy them like they do regular sneakers :p long live crocs!! :)
I bought 2 pairs of Crocs recently — Men’s Golf and Men’s Sailing. Love them both. Love them!
I live in Brazil and we don’t have all the variety of Crocs here. We are crazy about Crocs and we love them. I hope we get more of them around here.
Live long!
YES, I highly agree that Crocs offers a great product at an excellent price and wonderful quality. If I could, I would only wear Crocs…
BUT you’ll notice the CEO has said nothing about the service his company offers in the way of selling and distributing their fabulous shoes.
All but a couple of stores in Canada has stopped selling Crocs because the company offers little consistency in shipping or filling orders… even from a year ago.
Ordering directly from Crocs online is filled with frustration and an obvious lack of customer service as well. My order from June 22 is still missing… it’s July 19… and no one will return my calls or my emails.
Thank you, John, for clearing this up. Crocs are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn and the newest, fashionable styles are just wonderful. I had back and knee issues until I started wearing them. The dog and I walk a minimum of 12 miles each week and we still have not worn out a pair. My shoe wardrobe consists of 18 pairs of Crocs and one pair of Reeboks for rainy days.
Please bring back the Alice Suede shoe without the strap!!! (no need for the strap or buttons to hold it on) The suede is fabulous and makes the Croc look different than plastic. IT IS THE BASIC BLACK FLAT!!!
This shoe in black is almost all I wear in the summer and also goes into winter. Without the strap, it is a stylish black flat that every women has in her wardrobe that just seems to go with everything from shorts, slacks, dresses, skirts….there you have it….it goes with everything: a favorite shoe.
Best thing is that you just wash it under water if it needs cleaning. It has more foot shape and even arch support than some of the Croc shoes. It is my favorite but I also love my Caymans.
I am writing here because I think you are reading the posts. We Croc lovers want to be heard over the “Croc nay sayers.” We are your cheerleaders, your faithful customers and support your shoes.
WOW, Tanisha, thanks for that info…..we placed an order on 7/12, & I was concerned because it hasn’t shipped yet……guess I will give up on that & just go into Houston to the Crocs outlet……We LOVE crocs, too!
are your shoes going off the market
Crocs Rock just another croc hater on the loose again Crocs will make it everyone wants a air light shoe!!
one more thing everyone say they are only cologs but the have many stylish styles my fave santa cruz!!
Crocs are the only shoes of thier type that won’t slip around on wet floors while supporting the foot and being stylish! Great to hear you didn’t go paws up. EDs around the globe couldn’t “run” without you.
I love your product. I’m not a “shoe” guy, but you now have my loyalty for making the most comfortable shoe in the world. I walk a lot of trade show floors and I will not wear anything but Crocs from now on. You made me a believer. Its like walking on an anti-fatigue mat all day. Please don’t go out of business, I will need your product for the rest of my life.

“Crocs is here to stay and has continually invested in product development which has generated constant demand.”
Robin Akeroyd, managing director, Crocs Europe
20 July, 2009 | By Laura Weir
The European managing director of Crocs has spoken out against reports that the plastic clog footwear brand has had its day.
US newspaper The Washington Post wrote an article last week suggesting that the brightly coloured footwear phenomena may have reached its maturity in the market place and could be on its last legs. Other newspapers suggested that the iconic footwear brand, which launched just seven years ago, was close to bankruptcy, claiming that because the shoes hardly ever wore out there was no need for repeat purchases by customers.
In response to the article, managing director of Crocs Europe, Robin Akeroyd issued a statement which said he was “extremely confident” in the future of the company.
He added: “Crocs is here to stay and has continually invested in product development which has generated constant demand”

Please don’t go away — your shoes fill a need for a lot of people. Maybe it’s time to get back to the basics and actually BECOME a one-shoe company…one ideal, unique, perfect style.
I have problems with my feet and recently bought my 1st pair of crocs.
We went on vacation and I walked all over the city of San Antonio Texas
in my crocs and my puppies were tired, but my feet didn’t swell and the
shoes were soooooooooooooooo comfortable. It motivated me to buy a
pair that are dressier as I have a 3 day convention to attend in San Francisco
this next weekend and needed something that I could walk around in at the
Cow Palace and not have my feet hurting. I am very happy with my crocs!!!
You sell Crocs as theraputic shoes. I have both knees to be replaced and Crocs are the only thing which allow me walk any length of time or distance. THANK YOU.
Crocs are the only shoe I wear. I have terrible problems with my feet and I can’t find anything as comfortable. I carry a laminated sizing chart around with me at work and people tease me but I have converted a lot of other teachers who are on their feet all day long.
My 3-year-old doesn’t even refer to footwear as shoes………….he always calls shoes crocs.

My post here got a fast response – something I had not been able to get from the website. Now to see if my problem is resolved. I’m hopeful – and a big fan of Crocs.
hello, I just wanted to share my graditude for Crocs. I am a 43 year old woman, who has had problems with my feet for years. I have had to buy hundreds of shoes , over the years just to throw them away. I bought them from high end stores, shoe specialists, to discount stores. I have had many special insoles from off the shelf at the pharmacy to hand made insoles that I had to take back every week for months and never got them to be comfortable.
I have to have a lift put on one shoe due to a leg discrepancy, and It has become almost impossible to find a pair of shoes that the sole can be split to accomidate the lift.
Crocs have been heaven sent. I don’t have any of the pain caused by regular shoes. I can walk for hours instead of minutes. I buy a 40.00 pair of crocs and have a 90.00 dollar lift put on them, but that is much better than 300.00 +90.00 lift for shoes I can’t wear.
My Orthopedist said he has worn Crocs for years during his all day surgeries because the shock absorbtion in the foot bed that disperses the weight and pressure of each step.
I have to add my husband was leary to wear them for years but this spring we were on a trip where I found a Crocs store, he tried on your grey denim look lace up mens shoe and now he wears them all the time.
Once you wear them for any amount of time everyone I know has to admit they are the most comfortable shoe they have ever worn.
So, I thank you for your products,
Judy Zielinski
The CROCS brand is all about comfort, value and a very functional design aesthetic. In five short years it has become a $700M+ global lifestyle brand that is either loved or hated, similar to my first car, the original VW Beetle. As John Duerden understands from his experience leading REEBOK from $1bn to $3bn in sales, reinvigorating a brand after a high growth phase requires the right new product innovation and consumer marketing insight to take it to the next level. BLUE RIBBON SPORTS would be just a footnote in athletic footwear history if Phil Knight hadn’t hired some great marketing leaders who convinced him to restage the brand as NIKE and to move beyond the running footwear category into the world of sport. I drive a MINI COOPER S today, but still smile when I pass a old VW Beetle on the highway. VW has moved beyond the Beetle, just as CROCS will continue to move beyond the basic clog.
I sincerely hope that crocs can move through this and emerge on the other side victorious. crocs are the only shoes I can wear that do not leave my feet and legs swollen, painful, and sore at the end of the day.
I have terrible problems with plantar fasciitis and pain in my left knee. crocs shoes have enabled me to walk all day without pain in my heels and they have greatly helped my knee to not feel like it has been hit with a hammer at the end of the day. I can now exercise, as long as I wear my crocs, and that helps me lose weight which in turn helps the foot and knee problems. All due to crocs…I cannot begin to thank you enough for making these shoes.
A small suggestion…the free shipping is a wonderful thing, but perhaps the price of the shoes could come down some? In this economy, I just can’t afford to pay $30-$50+ for shoes. I was just at the outlet mall in Edinburgh yesterday and bought a pair of athens flipflops for $15, which I thought was a much more reasonable price than $30. Price goes down=more shoes sold, I would think. I know I would be likely to buy more of them. And maybe it would show people that there is more to crocs than the clog (which I have a pair of anyway, so poo-poo on the naysayers).
Another suggestion…could you make the pretty, feminine colors in larger sizes? I wear a 12 men’s athens, and I’ve had to settle for more masculine colors. I’d love a pair of the grey/pink athens flipflops, but they don’t come in my size. Some of us ladies have larger feet than industry standard, and we want to be stylish too!
Will there be a tent at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend? I remember there was one there two years ago, outside the track, and they were pretty busy. I think it would be a great place to sell flipflops. If you could get a vendor space inside the track, that would be great…you wouldn’t believe the people I see stumbling around with painful feet at the end of the day there. I think they would love some comfy “crocflops” (as I call them).
Thank you again for your wonderful shoes, and may God bless you.
And one more thought…whenever I wear my ballerina flats or boots or celeste slip-ons, people are always shocked to hear they are crocs. “But they are so cute!” they exclaim. Of course they are, what did you expect? :) I converted a guy I know on the strength of the canvas lace-up alone.
So maybe there could be a bigger push on the other styles, in advertising, for people who don’t realize there is more to crocs than the original clog. A tagline of, “You mean those are crocs?” and an ad featuring some of the stylish designs that goes perhaps something like this:
You mean *those* are crocs? They can’t be!
Yes, they *are* crocs. What did you expect, ugly shoes?
[...] (Thought, their CEO says don’t count them out yet.) [...]
I have just recently bought my first pair of crocs. And then i seen the article online by the Washington Post on yahoo news. I told my wife at that point if that were true i would buy as many pairs of crocs as my wallet could stand. I had back surgery a few years ago and until now haven’t found a pair of shoes that are comfotable to wear for long periods at a time. I am a barber and am on my feet 10 hours a day and crocs velocity shoes have been tremendous. I’ve paid up to $150 for shoes that don’t have 25% of the comfort. Those shoes started hurting my feet after about 2 hours. My velocities last all day with a minimal amout of discomfort after about 8 hours, which that is caused by being so tired. I hope the company lasts for many years to come. But if for some reason it doesn’t……make me the first email you send out to announce it!!!
I passionately hold on to my first two pair of Crocs because a few years ago I decided to add to my “wardrobe” of comfortable shoes and was surprised to feel a difference in the texture of the shoe. I checked the soles of the pair I was wearing and found “made in Canada” embossed on the bottom. The Crocs on display, however, had “made in China” on the soles. This was in a major retailer’s store, and the Crocs logo was on all the shoes, so I didn’t feel they were counterfeits, but rather a poor production decision for the sake of profit. I haven’t shopped for Crocs since. Again, I cherish my “originals” and still can’t hold back the “ahhh” when I slip my feet in them!
Tia Mattson, spokesperson for the company, said the accusations stem from a misunderstanding. The company has recently been operating on a revolving line of credit that expires in September.
Because Crocs is a publicly-traded company, it has to report its profits and debts. That’s the source of the speculation that its in trouble. But the documents made public paint a limited picture of the company, she said.
“We have more cash than debt, so it’s hard to go bankrupt,” she said in an interview Friday.
Also, Mattson said the company’s internet and retail which would include the Park City store sales are healthy.
She emphasized that the company has a wide line of products that use the Croslyte material. The retail stores are doing so well because they’re able to showcase the broad styles offered.
that was copy faste from an article
I hate Crocs. I think they’re ugly.
They do seem to be a peculiarly effective way to separate an idiot from his/her money though.
Been a faithful user of the regular crocs, then the RX crocs then the work crocs, then the flip flops because they made my painful feet pain free, now I am afraid to wear anything else..
My husband’s foot doctor suggested he try Crocs for the heal pain he was experiencing. He ordered the traditional clogs and a pair of flip-flops and loved them. So I tried a pair of clogs. First time on my regular shopping run and I was blown away!!! My feet didn’t hurt!!! I plan to buy other styles more suitable for the office and of course, flip-flops.
Hang in there!
I noticed The Marine Mammal Center volunteers( in Sausalito California) all wear crocs!
Maybe someone should do a commercial with them?
Personally, I can hardly live without them, especially since i live on the docks and they can get wet and its not a problem.
Hopefully, Crocs will not be a thing of the past. I don’t have to wear my arch supports when I wear them. My feet love them.
The Cleo sandals are my new favorite.
My first encounter with Crocs was when we were in Walt Disney World. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis which affects my feet. After walking in the parks for a few days, it really took a toll on my tootsies. We stopped in the gift shop of our hotel and there were CROCS with Mickey Mouse heads on them. I tried them on and the pain in my feet disappeared. I haven’t put anything on my feet since. I have 11 pair. My husband has several pair. We’ve gotten Crocs as gifts for our family (Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister…..) and they’re as ecstatic about them as I am. Our most recent purchase was the Santa Cruz Crocs. We got a pair for my Dad, who’s going to be 70 this weekend, and I think he sleeps with them on. He hasn’t taken them off. :)
Thanks for the reassurance that Crocs will be around for a lonnnnnnnnnnnggggg time. I can’t imagine a day without them!!!
Hey these are the most comfortable shoes on the planet, and when you wear them your feet get spoiled and used to the comfort. “Regular” shoes feel like torture chambers for my feet whenever I am forced to come out of my Crocs and wear them. I own 8 pairs and even hunt in my camo all terrains. I’ll be a customer for life no matter what the fashion pundits say. If they don’t like the shoes, then well fine…that’s more pairs for me! Croslite forever!
I’ve been wearing crocs ever since they were introduced. I wear them more than anything else on my feet. I believe there is a loyal following and new owners everytime someone else tries them on. I’ve gotten everyone in my family a pair and no one has ever complained about any footpain or whatever.
I just read that article and don’t agree with it at all. I’m all for consumer reporting, but that article just seemed immature and more appropriate for a personal blog vs Newsweek.
I’m a proud-owner of several pairs of Crocs and hope to be so for several years to come….
i absolutely LOVE crocs! they are the most comfortable shoe i have ever had on my foot, bar none! i put my crocs on as soon as i get out of bed…if my feet hurt, wearing crocs makes them not hurt. they are shock absorbing and feel like i am walking on air. i have several styles and i love them all.
am happy to update that my crocs are in Houston & should be delivered today or tomorrow…….recently learned of an outlet in houston & will be making a trip there soon….We love crocs….escpecially all the new styles, the mary janes are my fav, they are soo cute & look great w/ shorts! Hang in there!
AS a new customer of Crocs, we are greatly disappointed in the way your company does business on the web, as a new customer we attempted to order, and we were advised there was a problem with our credit card, after further investigation, it appears Crocs is the problem, you charged 4 to 5 times the amount of purchase, never delivered a single purchase and now we have to deal with the bank, on all these unauthorized charges. As a Public company it would seem you would conduct yourself with ethics. Apparently not since we never even received a response after sending at least 6 emails, the question is how many others have been victim ? WE are pursuing this through the BBB and of course other steps. You have a responsibility to deal with your problems, not ignore them and destroy your reputation. Do you think your shareholders will approve of the way issues are ignored.
I am pleased with the response of your CEO Mr. Duerden. I would like to see this “American Icon” continue just because it shows how our citizens still react to good products regardless of the bad economy. I am, however, disappointed with the advertising department, who I sent an e-mail to last week I responded as many others did – to the Post article, but I responded with an idea. However, I did not even get a courtesy reply – even if it was a bad idea. Hail to Crocs — I hope you prove the Post wrong.
if crocs ever goes under, i will be barefoot. i have them in multiple colors and styles and love them all so much i don’t have a favorite, i love them all
I beleive that I qualify as a Crocs ‘Frequent Flyer’. I have over the period purchased 2 dozen pair and I hold Crocs stock. But, I fear that unlike the others who have entered their thots. I am not pleased. I attempted to send the afternoted message via the site email, but was unable to do so.
Crocs’ site has always posed problems and complicated my ordering process. But, now you inform me (via email) that: ‘Your new is the ‘new you’ and you will ease my level of aggravation
I find this not to be the case.
Once again your site refuses my password and 2 attempts to reset.
I have attempted to place a $350 order for the last half hour, I must register my unhappiness .rM
It now appears that Crocs management have little interest in customer care or satisfaction, they ignore all website problems, do not attempt to refund money from “mistakes” on the site, perhaps it would be helpful in getting their attention, if everyone that has had problems and been ignored, work together in demanding customer satisfaction and refund of overcharging, actions speak louder than words and this management does not respond period. How long can they get away this type of poor customer service ? and remain in business ?
I read the article and hurried to order more crocs so I’d have extras, just in case! Crocs.com did not have the MaryJanes so I got them from Amazon. The new ones are 1 ounce lighter per shoe than the ones I got in 2007. They are not as cushioned; very disappointing.
I got 2 pair of Caymans and a Trailbreak sandal from Crocs.com The Caymans appear OK. The Trailbreak straps cut into my ankle, so I want to return them. I called customber service because your “new” web site does not have my 7/16/09 order and I cannot generate the return code. I tried to send a message thru the web site and it failed. I sent an email but no reponse yet a day later.
Sadly, your web site and I suspect your company is messed up. If I can get a timely refund for the Trailbreaks, I will remain a customer. If I have to seek recourse via my credit card, I (a Boomer with 9 pair) will go to Keens.
The Tikali sandals were great and I looked for those but they seem kaput.
I want crocs to stay around for a long time. I was in a price warehouse today, BJ’s Wholesale Club and noticed they have some shoe items, wish they sold Crocs. I am having a hard time finding them around here. Going to go on line and get some. I LOVE MY CROCS
I love crocs but will no longer order through you company site. Since the end of June of this year I have had nothing but headaches. It is astounding to me that the company has so many problems with their reorganizing (new warehouse, new computer programs, etc.). I am told I will no longer have a order history since Executive Management decided it was not important with the change. No email notification with shipping info as to what was and wasn’t shipped is not an improvement to me. This is what I was told by your Customer Service supervisor when I told him of one of many complaints I have had this summer. I also find it strange that the company that makes crocs can’t ship in the same orderly manner that company’s they sell to do and amazingly for the same price!!!! Sorry corporate Crocs you will never get an other again from me!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE YOUR PRODUCTS BUT MANAGEMENT IS IN TURMOIL.
I am a customer, but it seems everyone has problems with the Croc’s website.
Taking payments without shipping, and not responding to customer service inquiries. Why have some of the comments disappeared from the blog.
Love your shoes, not your company
So why can I NOT find crocs endeavor anywhere ? the Pearl ones size 8 womens are not to be found online or in stores. I ordered the “relief” shoes at crocs.com only to be told 3 days later , they dont have em . what is up ?
Mr. Duerden,
Glad to see you standing up for your company and your hard work; when I read the article I got an idea about how crocs can become even more customized and interactive for the youth consumer. Check out my website, currently trying to open a Teen Center in Dallas, Texas I do need sponsors, and would be happy to have crocs support us! However, love to share the idea of a truly custom crocs shoe D.I.Y. Contact me
I am very glad to hear that Crocs is alive and well! I discovered Crocs Athens flip flops about 4 years ago and wear them year round! They are the ONLY flip flops I can wear…before them I always had to settle for sandels because I couldn’t stand something between my toes…and the Athens style is the ONLY kind that doesn’t bother me. I just bought 4 more pairs of Crocs last week ranging from flip flops to the wedges and LOVE them ALL!! Please don’t go anywhere Crocs…you keep my feet happy! =)
Sorry to hear of Crocs demise, especially looking at their operating losses. Mall leases are for suckers, and Crocs got giddy and the GGP’s and Simon’s cooked their goose with hundreds of long term leases. Been down that path on a smaller scale, but I’ve been there. Good luck to you Crocs, love your shoes.
It may interest you that I am in the process of curing my achilles tendonitis by walking solely in Crocs, and I am confident that I will succeed in this way, having tried many other methods unsuccesfully.
I hope you will succeed in saving the company as I for one intend to walk in Crocs forever.
I have had only good experiences with ordering from http://www.crocs.eu
I’ve now owned several Summer Crocs including first type to come out Crocs. I purchased Crocs because they were super comfortable, provide great support and are the only shoes I can walk & stand longer in, with having Fibromyalgia & Neuropathy this is a absolute plus. I have tried so many different brands of shoes and I honestly can say these work out and feel the best. Thanks to my sister and to John Duerden for having such a great variety in shoes too! I believe you guys will be around for many years to come as I pray so or there will be a lot of people suffering from sore legs & feet or don’t have to so much. We will be able to prove this reporter wrong! Great Job Crocs’ Employee!
I love these shows for my kids but am extremely angry and will not purchase them again. On 6/25 I order three pair of shoes from the outlet. 2 childrens and one for myself. Two weeks later when my order was still “pending”, I emailed customer service and was told I would have a response within 48 hours…..I did not get a response. The next week, I got online to check my order and was told that my order did not exist. I then tried calling customer service and gave up after spending 20 minutes on hold. ( I know this because it was on my cell phone and the calls are timed). Then out of the blue on 7/23, I receive an email that my order has been shipped, yet when I get it, it is ONE pair out of the three. No wonder your company is in trouble. Truly pathetic service on your part.
Seriously are any of these posts not made by Crocs employees? Do negative comments get filtered out? Crocs has a LONG way to go to change its brand from a single model of ugly plastic shoes to many models. I think the recent ad campaign acknowledging the ugly lineage of the line is good, but can it be enough to withstand a drop in share price from in the $70’s to $3? Kudos to the CEO and Crocs team if they can.
Why don’t you start donating crocs to less fortunate countries for every pair sold ? it was a good idea from the makers of TOMS shoes, and it would probably bring more sales your way as well as clearing up inventory !
Honestly, What other companies would bother to blog you on your complaints, I see a definite attempt to sooth feathers here, lets be patient here, I was a croc customer since inception, when NOBODY was wearing them, and they havent failed me yet. I will wait and see…
In the 71 years I’ve been around, there hasn’t been a day go by in which my flat feet were not extremely painful. My parents and then I tried it all – shoes with braces, orthopedic shoes, Thomas heels, orthotic inserts, molded shoes, gel inserts, heavy shoes, light shoes – you name it. I tried a pair of Crocs a few years ago and for the first time am without foot pain. I hope that (would like to know if) the seemingly magic sole and arch design of the regular Crocs is carried over into all of the Croc products.
My family just purchased matching Crocs this summer. We got a pair for myself, my wife & 2 toddler boys! We love em. Don’t believe the hype – crocs RULE!!!!! Good luck.
DONATE CROCS TO DEVELOPING COUNTRIES
Hi,
I know that Crocs last a long time, are durable, and have antibacterial benefits.
Give us all a good reason to buy a new pair by organising collections and donations of our older Crocs to developing countries.
Win, win all around. They benefit from great footwear, and we get a reason to buy a new pair :-)
Thought it might help you to shift some new pairs – Guerilla Marketing rules ;-)

I fought the crocs fad for a long time. Then I saw an article on webmd that crocs were good for people with diabetes and foot problems. My husband was limping about with both. we got him a pair of crocs and he LOVED them.
I have terrible pain from neuropathy & plantar fasciitis. I got the Crocs siver cloud. it’s like walking on pillows. I love my Silver fox mary jane’s for work.
My mother has terrible pain with fibroneuralgia. she prefers her crocs over birkenstocks.
even converted my 19 year old daughter.
Don’t take my crocs away!
I want to add my name to the list of Crocs fans. My favorite style is the Mary Jane, which I have in several colors (pearl, black, chocolate, navy, army green). This style fits my short extra-wide size 6EE feet well. I recommend adding more neutral or muted versions of your colors, perhaps a tan or beige, which makes the shoes a bit more “formal” and suitable for a casual office. I would also love to see some of the other styles come out in Wide sizes; though I have not tried them, in the photos they look narrower than the Mary Janes. Have any of you with extra-wide feet tried other styles? I would love your feedback.
Ive read so many comments with love and HATE, there will always be people that don’t like a product but I think majority rules. If you love the shoe buy some, if you don’t than don’t. I personally only wear Crocs. Do I have bad taste? Maybe but who are you to say what I like? I have a severe hip and back injury, Crocs are the ONLY shoes that help and relieve the pain, the generics are NO WHERE NEAR the product. I personally stand by Crocs and hope they continue to thrive. Thanks!
i have a back pain problem and are usually very choosy about the shoes i wear. i bought crocs a year back, and it has helped to reduce the pain tremendously. one year on, i’ve just bought another pair of crocs for myself, my wife and my mother in law.
I was ready to buy a pair of bistro black size 11 tonight from your website but could not figure out how to go from viewing styles to actually ordering. I tried on a pair today at the Boulder Running Store and would have bought there, but they don’t have my size and are not planning to order more. Also, after a bunch of looking around your site, I finally found one notice about free shipping “over $75.” Since it took so long to find that crucial disclaimer, I’m feeling a little bait-and-switched. If that is not your intention, let me know. Otherwise I will go back to the Running Store and get a pair of the superior looking Keen Bandon Clogs for about the price of Crocs plus shipping. Best wishes on saving Croc’s. I really mean that as a fellow Boulderite who nevertheless never tried them because pink and purple just don’t work for me. Thanks, Gil Campbell
just want to say i how much i really like crocs. i had never triewd a pair until last october, when my doctor recomended i try crocs for my severe plantar fasitis, dont know for sure about the spelling on that. i was buying ‘nike’ , new balance, dr. scholls, and other numerous ‘brands of shoes and nothing was helping with the pain in my feet. the pain in my right foot was so unbareable, that i had a fracture in a bone on the side of my foot from putting all my weight to the out side when walking. i work for walmart #5319, MCARTHUR,WV. and i work in the deli, so i’m on my feet and going constantly, so foot problems had me on a short term medical leave, i got a pair of womens crocs and haven’t worn any thing else since, literally. crocs is the only shoe that i can wear and be able to walk and not have horrible pain. i am ordering a pair of silver cloud medical crocs today and every cinfidence that i will be well pleased with the performance and cimfort that i have had with my other pairs. the only thing i wish was different is that crocs were more durable on concrete surfaces, because the tread wears out kinda fast, and causes them not to grip very well at work. i hope the company continues to do well, and will continue to buy crocs as long as they are made. i also have a pair of the casual dress crocs and reall like those as well, its the only thing i can wear to church, i also wore them to a wedding!! and got a couple of compliments on them. when i read in our local paper that crocs was going bankrupt and would be stopping production, i was quiet up set, as i’m sure you can understand. so to read this letter from the company ceo is good news, to my ears and my feet. SINCERELY LUCY MILLS
I am sure Crocs will not last with online sales because of their slow shipment and their lack of expidited shipping choices. The customer service told me to give it 10 business days to receive my order. Then he said there was a gilitch in the system so my order was delayed even further. He also said they only send it regular ground.
Since all your comments are positive, I am sure you will not post this one.
It would be nice ifc the message boards had the newest comments on top, rather than having to scroll down to the bottom to see the newest…
Since last year I had been wearing a pair of cheap Croc knock-offs (Croc-offs?) from China Mart for use with my Kayak. Recently I squired a pair of Genuine Croc Caymens…and I’m now in heaven! There really is no comparison, the difference in comfort was immediately and amazing.
So count me as a supporter, as I intend to buy more colors & styles for both myself and my wife and will wear my Crocs everywhere possible!

I was a candidate for surgery for heel spurs until I found Crocs. I stand in them, as a teacher, all day long and everyone I meet is amazed that the stylish heels I wear come from Crocs. I wear NOTHING but Crocs these days thanks to the many different styles for every situation. I couldn’t bear it if Crocs no longer existed.
where can I get tikali sandals in size 9?

I love my crocs, I just wish they would offer more colors and styles in the 4XXL (16-17) sizes. I would love some yellow Beaches so I could wear one yellow and one blue from my michigan games.
My foot is thin and narrow. Regular Crocs never worked for me… too big, too wide, and too sloppy. HOWEVER, I tried on a pair of Cleo’s and a pair of Patra’s I LOVE THEM. And, I get lots of compliments on them! People are surprised when I tell them they are Crocs. I also bought a pair of Bites Breeze in black. I’d buy more pairs of these but I don’t think you sell them anymore. I received severaly compliments on those shoes also. Now that we’re heading into Fall I’m looking for a Croc that will fit my thin narrow foot. I hope you make something that will work for me, keeping my feet dry and warm. I wish you all the success in the world and hope your company is around for a long, long time.
I own 41 pairs of crocs in a variety of colors and styles. I LOVE them. I will not wear any other shoe. I wear crocs all day and every day. I used to have knee and foot pain, and I no longer have pain. I still wear the first pair I bought about 4 years ago. They are fun to wear in addition to being the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. There are seven other people in my family who are hooked on crocs too. Thank you!
Why don’t you have your own store? I’d even work in it for you. There are kiosks and many stores with limited inventory … but no one store carries your entire line of shoes. That’s a shame because people like to see, touch, and try on shoes. That’s just how it is. Yes, you have so many different kinds of shoes … not just those ugly, holey, ones! We were sorry to see the outlet store close in Longmont. We loved shopping there to the very end!
I msut say I have been a Croc fan for years but my recent Crocs.com purchase has turned into a total nightmare. I received a pair of shoes in early-mid July and have tried to return them because of size without any success. I have called dozens of times and have waited as long as thirty minuets and have never spoken to a soul. When I go online to initate a return it never shows I even made a purchase. The only proof I have is my card statement and the box of shoes on my counter. I have sent two e-mails weeks apart and got a general response that they are responded to in the order they are received. Based on the phone lines and the waiting line for an email response the seem to have some serious customer service issues. I just would like a number to be able to actually speak to a human being.I need my Saffrons for work Monday!
My husband tried to find a pair of Crocs this weekend and all the local Crocs vendors are out of Crocs. Two of them told us Crocs has filed for Chapter 11 and they were unable to even order Crocs. They blew through their stock and are now Crocs-less. A new update from Crocs would be great.
Hi,
Just a note to let you know that my daughter is having her wedding in Las Vegas at the Bellagio and she has requested that all wear Crocs, just as she and the groom are!
It is on Saturday, September 19, 2009, and it should be fun!
If any of your representatives are at the Bellagio at 4:00 p.m., come take a peek in the wedding chapel at the Bellagio – we’ll be there!

Well I finally found a store that was nice enough to give me my money back for my Saffrons even though they were purchased on-line. If the crocs website had half the customer service that the stores have I would order from them again but they don’t. My first email was sent weeks ago and it said they are responded to in the order they are received. That tells me volumes about their complaint department because I have heard nothing. Luckily I found a different brand of uniform shoes to go with. Thanks.
Here’s an interesting article out on the subject today.

Mr. Duerden, could you please consider making closed heel design for your RX line. some employers don’t allow open heel at work.
i luv u for making crocs they changed my life and my band director thinks crocs r bad and they make u march badly

I love the original Adara, its casual but still chic, is it a discontinued style?, I’ve been trying to get hold of some in Hong Kong and Australia. Crocband are super cute, hope there will be a sandel version next summer!. Thanks!

Crocs shoes are fantastic! Not only are they stylish and durable, but they are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. Also, their customer service is second to none. I am proud to say that I am a Crocs customer now, and will always be.
Thank you Crocs!
