Prepair: Anatomy

Posted by: GeorgeGSmithjr on: March 17, 2009

We’ve shown you the test results for US Ergonomics, but today we’re going to break down the Prepair™ collection to show you how it’s unique anatomy accomplishes all those goals.

First – we’ll start out with the foundation of the Prepair™ collection – the Croslite™ AG Footbed. It’s the Croslite™ Ag footbeds that reduce peak pressure and help distribute pressure across the foot evenly. It’s ergonomic design produces the reduced muscular effort and allows the foot to assume its natural form while bending and expanding. Croslite™ Ag, unlike EVA, does not compress – which helps Prepair™ provide long-term cushioning and support. And, of course, Croslite™ Ag are antimicrobial and help reduce exposure to athlete’s foot.

Beyond that – we’ll take a look at the clog version of our Prepair™ line and illustrate the components:

  1. Enhance Recover:  We told you about the Test Results from US Ergonomics yesterday but that Proof is at the core of the Proven Feel Good power of this collection
  2. Reduces Muscular Fatigue:  the unique design allows your foot to work the way it is supposed to – with the freedom and flexibility that you’ll feel as soon as you put them on.
  3. Reduces Peak Pressure:  We spreads your weight across the scope of the shoe – putting less strain on your body overall.  Less strain = more gain!
  4. Croslite Ag: Anti-Bacterial.  Anti-Fungal.  Bacteria and Fungus can cause great discomfort and get in the way of the best laid plans of any athlete.  Croslite Ag helps win that battle so you can train the way you need to train
  5. With more arch support than general Crocs footwear, Crocs Prepair collection allows for greater surface contact with your foot.  US Ergonomics has certified that Crocs Prepair™ produced provided more relief after races compared to participant’s current shoes.
  6. Heel Strap: The flex zones on the Heel Strap help make the Prepair collection fit you better.  Great Fit.  Great Comfort. Great Recovery

We’ll continue to get you prepared for Prepair – so keep checking back here on the Crocs Blog.  Also, remember to enter the “Prepair to be Bolder” sweepstakes at Crocs.com/prepair

I can’t wait to try these. Do you need any beta testers? ;-)

Question: A clog seems to address the repair part of the equation. Is there anything in the collection for prepairing which could be more training oriented?

Hi
Do we have a date of release?

I am going away and need a walking shoe.

I have got to have these!!!

Looking forward to seeing when they will be out on the market for purchase!

I don’t have an exact date of release but we’re looking for early April. Stay tuned here and we’ll keep you up to date.

Hey there.

As a distance runner I am a big fan of Crocs. They are what I look forward to putting on at the end of a long training run. I hope these great sounding shoes come out in some of the wonderfully fun colors that made me fall in love with Crocs in the first place. Mango, Pulse, and anything else is worth considering. Not all of us want black, beige and so on.

Fingers crossed for at least one fun color!

Me too I can’t wait to get these. Croc’s released a picture in the fall of a somekind of a training shoe. I lost the link. They looked pretty sharp. I hope it is included in that collection. Oh well.

Thank you for the reply. I am a crocs fanatic.
I cant wait to get the new pair. I am happy to see there are others that love them as much as I do.
I will keep my fingers crossed for EARLY April release.

I knew Croc’s was working on some stylish models like the new women’s golf shoe. I can’t wait to see the rest of the collection.

The Women’s Golf Shoe is actually located here: http://shop.crocs.com/pc-2166-4-womens-golf-ac3.aspx?navcategories=3,136

It’s not part of the Prepair collection – but is a pretty stylish shoe. Check it out!

Hi-
Its almost April in another few days……. Any dates for my new Prepair shoes? My feet are waiting……

Updates will be coming soon! We’re glad you’re excited!

Ok its April 1st. I hate to be a pain but am really praying these shoes come out so I can purchase them for an upcoming vacation….
Do you have any date these are available? I will test these for you, advertise them, wear a prototype, ANYTHING!

Help me get these shoes soon!
Thank you for listening!
Jen

April 3rd and no Prepair….mmmmmmmmmmm

It’s coming soon! Don’t worry! :-)

Crocs George-

How soon is soon?…..

We are waiting but need a date.
I need to order a new pair and was hoping these would be here before I go away!
Time is running out for me
PLEASE!!!!!

I have quite a few races coming up. Is there a release date yet?
I am so excited about these!

I noticed there is a “Prepair Collection”, aside from the clog shown above do you have any other styles available under this prepair line?

Yes – there will be a slide model and a flip model. Personally, I love the slide.

Alright…seriously now!

It’s nearly mid-April. Even the Crocs store hasn’t a clue of release.

I think it’s time to man up, there is no doubt you’ve always known the release
date.

When is it?

already have it!!! feels great!!! I really prefer wearing clogs more than any footwear… even at work!!!

I’ve tried other sites and stores and nobody can tell me either. I’d also like to know the release date.

Thanks for the help.

I called the above mentioned store…talked to two managers there. They both knew Matt Reed very well…however never heard of Crocs Prepair, or the fact they were having an event tonight.

Interesting….

Anyhow…if there is an event tonight, with a triathlete who has been wearing them, what if someone asks you where/when they can get a pair? This question will come up!

Kind regards,

Chad Nelson

Chad – you should be able to pick them up at the Boulder Running Club.

As for when they launch online, the actual date is still up in the air but we are expecting next week. We don’t want to give a specific date and then be early or late – so that is why we don’t have specifics. Watching the Crocs Blog will keep you up to date on the latest and greatest…

Boulder Running Company (not Boulder Running Club) has them for sale at the Boulder location officially as of about 2 days ago, the same day Matt Reed came in and did a presentation. They are great!

I’m happy for folks able to get them, but I’m still searching for someone in my area selling them.

I’m in the Detroit area…anxiously awaiting Prepair release locally. (Insert Jeopardy music here!) :)

I know that they arrived at the Dicks Sporting Good distribution center – so they will be sending it to their stores as we speak. So if you have a Dicks Sporting Goods in your area, that will help. We’re looking to have them live online by next week! Stay tuned to the blog for more updates!

I have been looking to get a pair of the Crocs Prepair for after the Boston Marathon… now I’m leaving tomorrow and still no release although they have sings posted all around Dicks Sporting Goods and nobody there knows why they have signs and no shoes. I guess I’ll just get the Under Armor versions…

Will the Prepairs be launched in Canada around the same time as the US?
